Recycling used stamping fluid collected from the central scrap conveyor and pumped to waste looked to be a major cost savings opportunity. The problem was that it had been tried years before with limited success. The major problem with the original system was the process of recycling fluid and storing it in totes for future use causing accelerated bacteria growth. Mixing new fluid was easier than finding and using recycled fluid
After consulting with IFS the process was changed to match other IFS recycling systems. The waste tank became a storage tank for used fluid, with it’s own filter and oil/water separator to circulate fluid 24/7. The recycling system became the source of stamping fluid to the presses. Fluid entering the SFRS recycling system goes through a second set of filter as part of the recycling process. It leaves the recycling system through 3rd filter as it enters the distribution header on it’s way back to the presses. The mixing system provided makeup fluid to the recycler .
Fully automated, a PLC controller with touch screen monitors and control all functions of the recycler. The SFRS can be set up as a stand alone system or tied into a header system to feed multiple presses.
